SPE – Society of Petroleum Engineers

The SPE is the largest individual-member organization serving managers, engineers, scientists and other professionals worldwide in the upstream segment of the oil and gas industry. It offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the profession through our programs and activities and many of our accomplishments are driven by our dedicated members.

API – American Petroleum Institute

The American Petroleum Institute is the largest U.S trade association for the oil and natural gas industry.  It is the only national trade organization that represents all aspects of the oil & gas industry.

IADC – International Association of Drilling Contractors

IADC is dedicated to enhancing the interests of the oil-and-gas and geothermal drilling and completion industry worldwide. Membership is open to any company involved in oil and gas exploration, drilling or production, well servicing, oilfield manufacturing or other rig-site services.

IPAA – Independent Petroleum Association of America

The Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) represents more than 6,000 independent oil and natural gas producers and service and supply companies all across the United States.

NGSA – Natural Gas Supply Association

Established in 1965, NGSA encourages the use of natural gas within a balanced national energy policy.  NGSA represents suppliers that produce and market natural gas.

GSA – Geological Society of America

Established in 1888, The Geological Society of America provides access to elements that are essential to the professional growth of earth scientists at all levels of expertise and from all sectors: academic, government, business, and industry.

AEG – Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists

The Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists is an association of industry professionals specializing in the fields of geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, Soils engineering, hydrological engineering, and environmental geology.

AGA – American Gas Association

Founded in 1918, is an American trade organization representing natural gas supply companies and others with an interest in the manufacturing of gas appliances as well as the production of gas. About 92% of the 70 million natural gas customers in the US receive their gas from AGA members.

AIPG – American Institute of Professional Geologists

The American Institute of Professional Geologists was founded back in 1963 and is dedicated to promoting geology as a profession.  The organization currently has more than 7000 members and advocates matters pertaining to geology.

ANGA – America’s Natural Gas Alliance

America’s Natural Gas Alliance represents the largest natural gas exploration companies in America.  The organization works closely with the government,, industry and customers alike to ensure the availability of natural gas.

NOIA – America’s Offshore Energy Industry

The National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA), founded in 1972 with 33 members, represents all facets of the domestic offshore energy and related industries.

PESA – Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association

PESA provides a wide range of services, information, and opportunities to interact with leaders in the industry and government: events with customer oil companies; sessions on relevant supplier business topics; dialogue with government officials on industry issues; training of officers with the US Departments of State, Commerce and Energy; and more.

SEG – Society of Exploration Geophysicals

The mission of SEG is to preserve the history of our discipline of exploration geophysics for future generations of geoscientists, and for the public.
