Working with 194 Member States, across six regions, and from more than 150 offices, WHO staff are united in a shared commitment to achieve better health for everyone, everywhere.

The department is currently working towards accrediting its two undergraduate programs as follows: the Coordinated Program in Dietetics from the Accreditation Council for Education of Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), and the Nutritional Science Program from the Association For Nutrition (AFN) in United Kingdom.

The department offers an undergraduate degree in Public Health and Nutrition. In addition, students majoring in other areas may enroll in the Minor in Public Health or choose elective courses from our program. As a department we encourage students to engage in enriching activities outside the classroom, including field trips, conference participation, research, students clubs and community activities.

For science graduates, the Master of Nutrition and Dietetics will launch you straight into a career as a dietitian. With practical training in human nutrition plus access to eminent dietitians, this highly regarded postgraduate course will bring you to the forefront of dietetic and nutrition research and practice.

CDC’s Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity (DNPAO) protects the health of Americans at every stage of life by encouraging regular physical activity, good nutrition, and healthy weight. Through our support of state and community partners, we provide data, programs that work, and practical tools so that Americans have the best possible chance to achieve healthier lives and avoid chronic diseases. These efforts have contributed to more adults meeting national guidelines for physical activity and more babies being born in hospitals that follow global standards for supporting breastfeeding.
