Abu Dhabi was ranked as the world's best city for a family getaway by The Family Vacation Guide, a trusted international plat- form for families looking to plan their vacations. The guide's 2022 index rated the countries on "holiday enjoyability" factors, including safety, pollution, weather, afford- ability, and the number of family-friendly attractions. Abu Dhabi scored 8.5 out of 10 - the high- est among other listed countries for safety and performed well on all other criteria. This latest milestone is a testament to the emirate's successful strategy to promote tourism in line with the overarching Abu Dhabi Vision 2030.

Al Saadiyat Island

Qasr Al Hosn

 

One of the most long-standing historical buildings in Abu Dhabi, this landmark was transformed into a national museum in 2018 to tell the story of a rich local heritage. The palace is considered an authentic icon that is a witness to the evolution of the city, from a territory once occupied by the Baniyas tribe in the eighteenth century, to one of the most contemporary and sought-after global hubs of the modern world.

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN ABU DHABI

Sheik Zayed Mosque: 

The fourth largest Mosque in the world , it was built during the era of Sheik Zayed in 1986. The features of the mosque make it sound completely over the top: 82 domes of various Islamic styles; 37 shades of marble including the dominant dazzling white; intricate mosaics and floral Murano glass inlays; two-tonne chandeliers made with galvanised gold, gilded brass and millions of pieces of Swarovski crystal; columns topped with date palm leaves; reflecting ponds and corridors of arches; the world's largest hand-knotted carpet, a blue-hued lighting system for the evening which is synchronised with the waxing and waning of the moon In addition, it has a " scientific library " that includes more than 4,000 books from various scientific fields.
